About Weston Park

Weston Park Hospital is the region’s only specialist cancer hospital, providing care for thousands of cancer patients across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.

As the only dedicated charity for the hospital, Weston Park Cancer Charity exists to create a better life for those living with and beyond cancer.

The charity is committed to improving cancer treatments and care for patients and raises over £2million every year to fund projects which provide;

• Practical help to those in need

• Emotional support to those in despair

• Enhanced care for those who need it most

Over the years, funds have played a pivotal role in bringing world-class treatments and research to Weston Park Hospital, giving patients access to the latest advances in the treatment of the disease. Not only does this improve the quality of cancer services across the board but helps world-leading clinicians better understand the disease, paving the way for the hope of one day finding a cure.

Speaking of the partnership, Jade Hearsum, Community Fundraiser commented: “We are absolutely delighted that North Derbyshire Running Club have selected Weston Park as their chosen charity for the year. As a charity we rely on donations so we’re extremely excited about this new partnership and look forward to working with the club to create a better life for cancer patients across the region.”
